You ready for the rain this Fat Tuesday?! I hope so... because we are expecting scattered showers across the area with the chance for .5 to 1.5 inches of rain.
Moderate to heavy downpours are possible. Best rain chance will happen between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Make sure you grab the coats as well! Temperatures are starting in the 40's and high temperatures in the upper-50's. Throughout the day we will stay chilly and wet.
Notice the showers are widespread with a few moderate to heavy downpours.
The rain continues this evening so if you have plans tonight you probably want to get where you need to go and stay inside.
The upper area of low pressure moving out of Mexico is what's to blame for the rain this Fat Tuesday. I'm sure if you are wanting to celebrate you won't let the rain hold you down! The celebrations will still be going in full force today.
We do have big... and I mean BIG changes in our weather pattern over the next couple of days.
Rain chances drop, and we will see about a 30-degree temperature warm-up. So big coats today but flip flops in your forecast by Friday.
Even tomorrow (Valentine's Day) will be considerably warmer than what we've seen! Mid 70's this Valentine's Day! We can thank a warm front that will move across the area for the warming trend that begins tomorrow.
And I don't know about you... I am ready for some warmer weather! You won't hear me complain about the heat and humidity!
