NBA Playoffs 2018: Cavs\' JR Smith Won\'t Be Disciplined For Foul On Celtics\' Al Horford

Cavaliers guard JR Smith won't face discipline from the NBA after he was assessed with a flagrant foul in Ceveland's 107-94 loss to Boston in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals on Tuesday, according to ESPN, which cited unidentified league sources.

The foul came late in the fourth quarter when Al Horford went up for an alley-oop, but JR Smith shoved him in the back, sending Horford crashing into the ground. Marcus Smart was quick to defend Horford, resulting in both Smith and Smart receiving a technical foul after a scuffle broke out.

"You take two hands to the back, it's a dirty shot," Smart told reporters. "You can't allow that to keep happening. It's not the first time J.R. has done some dirty stuff, especially playing against us. He's known for it, especially playing against us. We know that. He's like a bully. Keep letting the bully keep picking on you, and he's going to keep picking on you. You've got to stand up and that's what I tried to do."
