Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera will miss the rest of the MLB season due to a ruptured biceps tendon.
Cabrera left Tuesday's game against the Minnesota Twins with the injury, sustained on a swing in the early innings.
Manager Rod Gardenhire said afterwards Cabrera would miss the rest of the season.
The 35-year-old first baseman has already spent time on the disabled list this year with a hamstring injury.
He has missed 30 games this year.
He is batting .301 with three home runs and 22 RBIs this season.
