Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao has revealed that talks have taken place for a possible boxing match with UFC star Conor McGregor in April 2018.
McGregor was involved in a super-fight switch to the boxing ring last summer with Floyd Mayweather when he was stopped in the 10th round by the pound-for-pound king, reportedly earning over $100 million.
Mayweather has said in recent days that he 'carried' McGregor in that bout, suggesting it was an easy night for him. Mayweather is estimated to have earned close to $250 million for the contest.
Last month, UFC president Dana White said he had doubts over whether McGregor might ever return to the UFC octagon, with the Irishman having had a flood of offers which have even included being invited to take part in pro wrestling.
Several other boxers, including Oscar de la Hoya and Paulie Malignaggi have also said that they would be willing to come out of retirement to fight the Irishman, who has not fought in the UFC since defeating Eddie Alvarez at Madison Square Garden, New York, in November 2016, making history by capturing the UFC's lightweight crown to go with the featherweight title he won from Brazilian legend Jose Aldo. McGregor has made no noises about defending the lightweight title.
