Iowa Election 2018: Where Do I Vote And What\'s On My Ballot?

Election Day is nearly finally here. But there's still plenty of time to find your polling place and get prepared before Tuesday.

To find out where you should vote, use the Iowa Secretary of State's online tool. First, you'll plug in your zip code. Then, you'll give your house number and street name. The website will tell you your precinct and polling place for general elections.

Polling places are often schools, churches, libraries, and other businesses near your home. Links to online maps and directions are also provided in the online tool. Polls are open statewide from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 6.

Need a ride? Voters in the Des Moines metro can get free or discounted rides to the polls using DART, Uber or Lyft.

Now that you know where to go, see what's on your ballot before you show up.

The races on the ballots vary slightly depending on where you live.

Polk and Story counties provide separate sample ballots for each precinct. For Dallas and Warren counties, one document includes sample ballots for all precincts, identified in the top left corner.
