My God I wish I could shut these so called “fellow” Vikings fans mouths! As a life long Vikings fan, who was born in 1975, it makes me just cringe when I read some of the Viking fans posts I’ve been reading.I KNOW better than to talk smack in the playoffs when it comes to the Minnesota Vikings. I’ve learned, reluctantly, having watched this team make the playoffs 18 times (yes EIGHTEEN) since the first time I can remember watching them in the playoffs, WAY back in 1982.
I’ve seen them make the playoffs in; 1982, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2015, & 2017 (TBD), and every single year it ended the same way. Oh some years were more epically disappointing than others, but eventually, after that much losing and disappointment, one just starts to live by the montra;
“Zero expectations equal zero disappointments!”
Now I keep seeing, younger or defiant older fans or ignorant arrogant fans who don’t seem to get it… Yes, this teams defense very well could be historically good (truly historic defenses prove it in the playoffs), BUT so were ALL of the defenses that went to the SB in the ’70’s. And, YES defense wins championships, but I’ve seen some REALLY good to great defenses go to the playoffs in the late ’80’s and early to mid ’90’s for the Vikings that had Hall of Fame players on it mind you… Guess where that ended up for them???
I read these “Vikings fans” talking smack and it makes me cringe, because I’ve got to tell you the absolute truth; until this team is holding the Lombardi Trophy, I will NOT believe they “will” win it, but I’ll cheer my @#* off for them! Unfortunately, I truly believe it’s just a matter of time for them to… Lose again in the playoffs. Seeing it happen… EIGHTEEN times will do that to a person. A rational person at least.
So just shut the “bleep” up!!

BTW, that’s a good win Philly! ANY win in the playoffs is a GOOD WIN!
