Free-agent NFL cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was involved in an altercation at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta on Tuesday evening.
According to TMZ Sports, ABM employee Frank Ragin "made a gesture" toward Jones that resulted in Jones confronting him.
Police said a fight broke out, and Ragin caused a laceration to Jones' face by striking him with a closed fist before also injuring the hand of a woman accompanying Jones.
Police determined that Ragin was the primary aggressor, and he was arrested on two counts of battery.
Per TMZ Sports, police added that Ragin fell to the ground after Jones defended himself.
While Jones and his companion refused medical treatment, Ragin was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Although police determined Jones wasn't at fault, the 34-year-old does have an extensive arrest record.
Most recently, he pleaded guilty to obstructing police following a January 2017 altercation in downtown Cincinnati.
Misdemeanor counts of assault and disorderly conduct were dismissed at the prosecution's request, and he received time served for the two days he spent in jail following his arrest.
Jones was suspended for one game by the NFL in relation to the incident.
After spending the past eight seasons as a member of the Bengals, the one-time Pro Bowler remains unsigned with training camp approaching.
